Apple Wood Bowl
from Toby Fulwiler - TF-AWB-PM
This 8 1/2 inch apple bowl with natural rim was turned from a Vermont apple tree culled from a neighbor's orchard. Apple is one of the strongest and densest wood to turn, so even though dried for many months, the bowl remains heavy and extremely solid. I left a bit of bark on the sapwood side to suggest the character of the apple tree from which it was turned. An unusually colorful bowl, this would be excellent for mantle-top or table-top display as well as a fine container for nuts, candy, or condiments. It is sealed with a food-safe beeswax/mineral oil finish, very easy to restore. #3819.
Dimensions are 8.5" across by 2.5" deep. #7810A |
