March 2010 Update

After some signs of spring last week, March seems to be going out like a…well, we’re not sure! Signs of spring are abound in Vermont with the sugar houses operating at full steam and some confused robins wondering why temperatures are in the single digits this late in the month.

We’re also gearing up for spring and summer. In the past month we’ve launched a Facebook fan page (over 400 fans already!) and we’ve added two new vendors to the Market Vermont site with another 10 planned by end of April. Existing vendors are adding new work to the site. Plans are under way for adding new media such as metal and high quality giclée and iris reproductions. We’re also working on rack cards for highway rest stops just in time for the busy tourist season. [read more…]

February 2010 Update

As February comes to a close we continue to ramp up the machinery behind the Market Vermont project and are now beginning to see the rewards for the work we’ve done to date. We’ve also listened to our vendors and had discussions among the team members about various aspects of the project and it’s structure. Here are some of the results of those conversations.

No registration fees!

The biggest announcement we have is we’ve decided to suspend the registration fees for signing up with Market Vermont. We believe this will help with acquiring new vendors. And before you ask, yes, the fee current vendors have paid already will be returned. [read more…]
