It’s been almost 2 months since we received the initial check from Central Vermont Economic Development Corporation for the Market Vermont project. The team has worked hard at putting this website and the supporting business model in place and I’m quite amazed (and appreciative) of the dedication they’ve shown. There is much still to do and we’ve only just scratched the surface. I’ll go into more detail about it in the near future.
For now, know that Market Vermont is on a mission to increase jobs here in Vermont by selling Vermont artisan products to an online audience. We’ve made it as simple as we can for our vendors by combining what our team members do best so the vendors – our artists - can do what they do best. The proof is yet to come but we’ve crossed the biggest hurdle. Publishing the ecommerce storefront.
Our immediate goal is to spread the word that we’ve opened our doors and have some really great artisan products for sale with more coming in the following weeks. You can help by telling friends and relatives about Market Vermont and We’re very excited at the prospects for the future.
