Chance Encounter

CHANCE ENCOUNTER”: After Vermont’s long season of snow and “sticks”, the first crocuses bring delight! These were sketched beside our stone wall and then painted with watercolor on Yupo paper, an acid-free synthetic surface that invites experimentation. The pigment can be pushed about with a sponge, wiped off or lifted off with a damp brush for unusual textural effects. (The VT Watercolor Society had me to do a program on it for our members!) The original work is double-matted with archival materials and framed under glass in a custom-made Don Mar wood frame of mahogany/black finishes, ready to hang. “Chance Encounter” was submitted & exhibited in two juried shows.
