Curly maple firewood bowl. This 7 inch bowl was turned from a piece of hard, spalted curly maple rescued from a friend's wood pile. At 1 1/2 inches deep, this bowl has a bright, highly-figured, contrapuntal grain pattern that makes it especially unique and valuable. The rim and foot are turned fine, making it an attractive container for desktop jewelry; it also makes a unique bowl for serving nuts, candy, small salads, and all variety of condiments. It is sealed with a food-safe beeswax/mineral oil finish. #2
